Family and Home

Children's Aid works closely with families to make sure they have the resources and knowledge to support and advocate for their children. Programs encourage family involvement with fun-filled venues that build community, including several annual events such as the Thanksgiving Celebration, Women’s History Month Celebration, Mother’s Day Brunch and Father’s Day Celebration.

CAS also provides critical services that include emergency assistance, family counseling and intervention. Families can enroll in health insurance services through CAS HCAP (Health Care Access Program). For families in crisis, through its partnership with NY Times Neediest Cases, CAS is able to provide emergency assistance. Parent programming continues to develop and expand. In conjunction with the staff of FLHFHS the Saturday School currently offers ESL, computer training, and fitness classes.

Workshops

We offer Saturday workshops to Parents/ Caregivers on various topics including ESL, Fitness, High school transition, Financial Aid/FAFSA, and College Readiness.
