Pampering Our Parents at Fannie Lou Hamer

posted Dec 19, 2014, 7:53 AM by Alison Gazarek
Parents at Fannie Lou Hamer were recently invited to a night of pampering at the school, organized by Parent Engagement Coordinator Orfelina Cisneros, and sponsored by the Children's Aid Society. Parents received massages provided by Selah Body Works; indulged in delicious snacks; and spent time getting to know each other and the school staff.

Orfelina works full-time in our school to support our students and continue to engage and invite our parents in a variety of ways. This week the Children's Aid Society invited parents who they wanted to further engage in the school community to attend the night of pampering. Parents received not only some well-deserved love and care, but had the opportunity to share ideas with school staff and with each other to make Fannie Lou Hamer a better place for staff, students, and families.

We continue to be so grateful for our designation as an NYC Community School, and as a partner with the Children's Aid Society.
