FLHFHS Student Government Spokesman Ricardo Luciano spoke on behalf of Bronx students at a rally to increase funding for summer jobs. Sponsored by a grassroots effort called The Campaign for Summer Jobs, the rally brought together a diverse coalition of community activists to advocate for increased funding to the city's Summer Youth Employment Program. FLH student Government joined United Neighborhood Houses, the Neighborhood Family Services Coalition, City Councilman Jumaane Williams and others to press the DeBlasio administration to consider funding for an additional 10,000 jobs this summer.
