Through the Children's Aid Society, staff member Joshua Poyer was able to travel with 9 FLH students to the US Open Tennis Tournament, ranging from D1 students to alumni. Students received VIP treatment with their own private room at the Hospitality Suite which included an air conditioned room, unlimited beverages (soda & water) and a full service lunch.  Former professional Tennis players from Spain and Nova Scotia spoke to students about their own personal journey and the importance of pursuing their dreams. Each student also received a commemorative t shirt to highlight the event and access to all the events of the day including matches with Venus Williams and Andy Murray.
